During the Second World War, Chinese and French newspapers published a large number of mirror-style coverage. This article takes the “consensus” theory as the perspective and adopts comparative methods to make clear the causes of these news: appreciating each other’s active role in the anti-fascist war; seeking a way out of their own dilemmas by paying attention to the other one, thus forming “consensus” to against the common enemy and to persevere in persistent resistance. “Consensus” is an important value orientation of the concept of “a community of shared future for mankind”, and the latter is the concrete practice of the former. In the process of communication, “consensus” reflects the conceptual form of national image, “a community of shared future for mankind” demonstrates its practice methods, and mass media displays its communication configuration.
