Based on the acoustic theory of Soundscape, this thesis reviews the evolution from three
aspects of “environment”, “noise” and “technology”, and explores the Soundscape’s multi-functional
directions in the audio reporting programs of Podcasts, which has reformed the basic patterns of audio
programs’ content towards the digital audio market. Generated the way of soundwalking interactions
by recording and recoding the sound on the ground, Podcasts audio reporting programs express a new
figure contained four features: keynote sounds, signals, soundmarks and archetypal sounds, then they
motivate the audience who are not on the scene to capture the being there moment by distinguishing
Sound object and Sound Events, thus they could cause sort of an outburst of emotional resonance
called sonic boom.
