From the perspective of the relationship between new media technology and feminism, this
paper takes “flash girl” vlog series as an example to analyze how women use new media technology
to wake up and construct feminist consciousness, what obstacles they will encounter in the process,
and how women overcome these obstacles. Through participatory observation and case study, this
paper finds that women can use new media technology to build a voice stage, so as to expand the
voice of feminism. But at the same time, misogyny discourse is more rampant under the protection of
anonymity. The male chauvinism in the real world language habits is projected into the network world,
and the situation of the elderly women on the other side of the digital divide is more difficult. In the
face of this situation, women gradually refuse the traditional male chauvinism concept, promote the
co construction of feminist consciousness, and constantly expand their professional living space, and
actively overcome various limitations.
