The current management of judicial appraisal categories is faced with a mismatch between the appraisal needs in the judicial field and the appraisal categories in the management field. The identification projects under the unified management of judicial administrative organs cannot meet the identification needs in judicial practice, resulting in the entry of identification categories into the litigation field with lax supervision and unsound systems, leading to public questions about the credibility of judicial identification. Therefore, in order to achieve steady development of the forensic appraisal industry, the legislative and regulatory authorities should work together to optimize the system of forensic appraisal categories and improve the institutional norms related to different categories of appraisal projects.
