The development of internet technology has given rise to new criminal activities as well as social progress. In recent years, there has been a proliferation of online gambling and online casino activities, which have new characteristics compared to traditional online gambling activities. In the new casino case, electronic data is an important part of the case evidence chain, and the extraction, processing and identification of electronic data directly affects the evidentiary capacity of electronic data. This paper starts from a case of casino opening by a chat app, captures the possible problems in the use of electronic data in practice, provides new ideas for its use in litigation from the forensics, examination, identification, cross-examination and authentication of electronic evidence, and proposes corresponding suggestions for electronic data-related issues to enhance the admissibility of electronic data evidence in court investigations.
