As a creative invention in the third scientific and technological revolution, face recognition technology
has played an irreplaceable role in criminal investigation and has made great contributions to improving the
efficiency of investigation. However, a series of problems such as technical lag in a complex environment, legal
risks, lack of data resource integration and sharing, flaws in application mechanisms, and lagging capabilities of
investigators in data mining research and judgment have caused the development of face recognition technology
in actual investigation applications. Propose breakthrough paths from aspects such as the improvement of its own
technology, the regulation of legal risks, and the diversified sharing of information resources, effectively avoiding
obstacles, in order to maximize its application in investigation work.
