Internet public opinion can carry out judicial supervision and promote substantive justice; however, the irrational factors of Internet public opinion can cause great pressure on national trials if they are involved in judicial activities. Through the comparison of Jiang Ge case and Yao Jiaxin case to draw out the influence of network public opinion on their judgement results, we explore the differences between Chinese and Japanese network public opinion, as well as the conflict between network public opinion and judicial independence, and try to put forward the countermeasures to correctly exert the positive influence of network public opinion on the judiciary, so as to realise the good interaction between network public opinion and judicial activities, and on the basis of which, we can further improve China’s judicial system and safeguard the credibility of the judiciary.
