Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, China’s legal
education has experienced a changing process from learning the former Soviet
Union model, to drawing lessons from the civil law model, to the mixed model,
and finally to the initial formation of the model with Chinese characteristics.
After years of development, with diversified personnel training as the education
goal, with multi track system of law education system for training way, with
respect to knowledge construction and multi-level education as the education
content, degree structure, theory and the practice teaching model of multiple
combination as education method, constitute the basic elements of legal
education model with Chinese characteristics; By the administrative department
of education administration, the judicial administrative department of industry
guidance, the self-disciplinary management of legal education industry
association and in the four legal institutions self-management education
management mode, to education of law and the uniform judicial examination
and the legal profession as interactive education of employment mechanism,
formed the education mode of law with Chinese characteristics and the normal
operation of the indispensable protection mechanism. History and reality show
us the inevitability of the formation of China’s legal education model, but also
warn us of the existing problems and challenges.
