• Abstract: 在强制医疗实施过程中，强制医疗的期限是一个亟待解决的问题。强制医疗不等于无限期的终身监禁。当前，我国刑事诉讼法对强制医疗期限采取的是绝对不定期的方式，对强制医疗的期限不作任何规定。不定期的方式导致出现无限期关押和治疗时间过短或过长的问题。我国强制医疗期限应当建立相对不定期的强制医疗制度。
• In the implementation of compulsory medical treatment, the deadline of compulsory medical treatment is an urgent problem. Compulsory medical treatment is not equal to indefinite life imprisonment. At present, China's criminal procedure law takes an absolutely irregular way to the period of compulsory medical treatment, and does not make any provisions on the period of compulsory medical treatment. Irregular way leads to the problem of indefinite detention and treatment time is too short or too long. We should establish a relatively irregular compulsory medical system in China.
